Mountains 11 have worked really hard over the past few weeks on an environmental project in partnership with Centre for Leadership Performance. The project is called ‘Leading Change’ and involves students identifying a project where they could help improve the environment in the local area. Students realised that school was not recycling enough so with help from two business mentors from local companies – Mitie and Sellafield they successfully produced a presentation and presented this to a panel of local business people. The presentation was a huge success and the group have secured for school £1750 that will be spent on recycle bins that will be placed in all classrooms and some communal areas.
